Dunedin Highlanders Sign Veteran Center Micah Hardcastle for 2026 Season
Dunedin, FL, USA— The Dunedin Highlanders are proud to announce the signing of veteran center Micah Hardcastle for the upcoming 2026 season. The announcement was made today by Highlanders General Manager Chris Housholder, who emphasized the organization’s commitment to strengthening the core of its offensive line.
Hardcastle (6'3", 335 lbs) brings a wealth of experience and leadership to The Highlanders, having played Division I football at Northwestern University, where he anchored the offensive line with consistency and toughness. Following his collegiate career, Hardcastle continued to impress in the semi-professional ranks, contributing significantly to the success of both the West Coast Warriors and the Hernando County Hawks in the Elite Amateur Football League (EAFL).
“Center is one of the most important positions on the football field,” said Housholder. “Micah’s experience, intelligence, and leadership make him an ideal fit for what we’re building here in Dunedin. We made it a point of emphasis to elevate our interior line play, and signing Micah is a major step toward that goal.”
Known for his strong football IQ, reliable snaps, and ability to command the offensive front, Hardcastle is expected to play a pivotal role both on the field and in the locker room as The Highlanders prepare for a competitive 2026 campaign.
The Highlanders will open training camp with Hardcastle expected to take immediate first-team reps as the team looks to build continuity and cohesion along the offensive line.
