2027 Player Pre-Registration NOW OPEN

DUNEDIN, FLORIDA, USA — The Dunedin Highlanders proudly offer one of the most exciting adult pro-developmental football experiences in the region. As the team reached the mid-point of the 2026 season of the Universal Football League Xtreme (UFLX), the organization has officially opened pre-registration for the 2027 season, effective March 15, 2026.

“We are always looking ahead and striving to be at the top of everything we do as an organization,” said Steve Korossy, Chief of The Highlanders Clan. “There are many options for adult football in Florida, but none match the premier level of the Dunedin Highlanders."

The Highlanders are currently 4–1 and sitting near the top of the UFLX standings during the 2026 season.

“I’m excited about this season and even more excited about what we’re building in the great city of Dunedin,” said Mike Fritz, Head Coach of The Highlanders. “We are always looking to grow and improve in everything we do. When building a team with a professional culture, it’s never too early to start developing relationships.”

The Highlanders finished Season 1 (2025) with an 8–4 record, falling in a close game during the second round of the Elite American Football League (EAFL) playoffs to the eventual AA Champion. 

Following that season, the organization made significant upgrades, particularly to its coaching staff. Coach Fritz was brought in as Head Coach. In addition to leading The Highlanders, Fritz serves as Defensive Line Coach for the Dunedin High School boys football program and Head Coach of the school’s girls flag football team. With years of coaching experience at both the youth and adult levels, Coach Fritz brings valuable leadership and strong football connections that help players pursue opportunities at the next level.

Dunedin Highlanders Foundation Inc. serves as the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting The Highlanders organization. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are currently available.
