PLAYER TRYOUT REGISTRATION FOR THE 2027 SEASON IS OPEN

The Dunedin Highlanders are a top tier organization with high standards and community involvement. Players seeking this type of football are encouraged to register.
1. Interested Players must first register with The Dunedin Highlanders to be eligible for a Player Tryout

2. After successful tryout with The Dunedin Highlanders, Player MUST register with the EAFL (Elite American Football League)

1. REGISTRATION: Players can register with the team at the Link #1 above. Registration is the first step of the process and does NOT automatically guarantee playing time. All Player Positions Are Open for a limited time. Register Now. Must be 18 years old by February 28, 2027.
2. PLAYER FEES: Estimated for 2027 is $300. Creative sponsorship options available to cover some or all of Player Fees.
3. UNIFORMS: Highlander Players will provide two game jerseys and one game pants. Full Player Fee must be paid to receive uniform.
A. Helmet and other equipment to be provided by the Player at the Player's expense.
B. Player is required to provide their own team approved football helmet. Highlanders Helmets are ULTRA MATTE WHITE.
1. If purchasing a new helmet, purchase the helmet in the Matte White.
2. If painting a helmet, Player will be required to purchase paint and facemask paint from the Highlanders. All helmets and uniforms MUST be identical. NO EXCEPTIONS.
C. Each Player will be provided one set of helmet decals. Additional decals may be purchased from the Highlanders.
D. Jersey Numbers will be determined by The Highlanders. During registration, players should list their top 5 number preferences in the order of preference (1=First Choice, 5=Last Choice). Every effort will be made to accommodate requests. One criteria to determine jersey numbers will include if a Player has fully paid their Player Fee, but it is not the only criteria. Some numbers are locked for returning players.
4. PRACTICES: Preseason Practices (starting November 7, 2026) on Saturdays at 10am in Dunedin, Florida. Regular Season Practices (starting February 2027) on Wendesdays at 7pm in Dunedin, Florida.
5. GAMES: Home Games will be played at Dunedin Memorial Stadium on the campus of Dunedin High School in Dunedin, Florida. Season games will typically be on Saturday evenings beginning late February 2027. One game per week. 5 Home games and 5 Away games, plus potential Playoff games. Away games involve travel to other teams throughout the State of Florida. Player is responsible for their own travel and costs for Away games.
6. MEDICAL INSURANCE AND TREATMENT: Players are required to provide their own medical insurance and ALL medical related expenses are at the Player's expense. The Highlanders are not responsible in any way for injuries and medical treatment directly or indirectly related to participation and involvement with the Highlanders. Players assume all risk associated with participation. ,
